Pianist, Musicologist & Lecturer based in Singapore

PhD, MMus, BMus (Hons) • Royal College of Music London

a refined touch and an all-rounded musical personality
— The Straits Times

Ning Hui is a pianist and musicologist recognised for her thoughtful concert programming and interpretations of music by underrepresented composers. She maintains a multi-faceted career in performance, research, and both practical and academic teaching. Ning Hui is currently an adjunct lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (University of the Arts Singapore).

Her recitals have been platforms for promoting much-neglected women composers. In 2018, she gave what must have been the Singapore premiere of Clara Schumann’s Piano Sonata in G minor. See’s performance [on 2 December 2023] revealed a keen insight and intellectual nous that is all too rare among artists. It was lovely to hear and see this young artist again, one who has matured over the years, and whose serious yet intensely musical approach to a life of performance and education remains refreshing and inspiring.
— Dr Chang Tou Liang, December 2023

An innovative concert themed around song, poetry, and romance, centring women composers and adopting 19th-century practices of interleaving, performed throughout London in the summer of 2022.
